“Next stop is the Awards presentations and ceremony, on 17th September,” commented Meat Management publisher Graham Yandell MBE.

He added: “It has been a very busy week and I would like to thank the whole team who dealt with hundreds and hundreds of products, in what was a stand-out competition.”

The annual Meat Management Industry Awards is the only event of its kind serving the UK meat trade and has 10 product categories and 10 voting / nomination categories. Finalists who are shortlisted will be pre-publicised prior to the dinner and ceremony, with category winners exclusively revealed on the night.

Guest judge and industry consultant John Howard commented: “My participation in the judging panel for this year’s Meat Management Industry Awards was testament to the unashamed focus on quality in many parts of today’s meat businesses.

“There were some outstanding products, many reflecting the traditional values of our trade, but also some very exciting new developments. Picking the final 2024 winners was always going be a tough call!”

Bill Jermey the chairman of the Institute of Meat and another guest judge this year, was equally enthusiastic: “It has been a joy to be a judge for this event, to see the quality of products in this country and the imagination of some of the suppliers who bring taste and variety to our tables.”

Publisher of Meat Management magazine Graham Yandell MBE added: “It has been another amazing week and our team has done a great job. I know we will reveal some fantastic winners and finalists, plus highly commended products this year in an event that goes from strength to strength.

“We now look forward to the awards ceremony on 17th September. It’s the biggest night in the meat industry calendar and I recommend an early visit to the website to reserve tables and tickets. Right now there is an early bird discount, so getting arrangements in place also saves money!”
