Awards organiser Emma Cash said: “In 2016 we reached a record-breaking number of product entries that topped the 1,000 mark and I am confident that we are going to reach that target again. We certainly remain on course as 2016 draws to a close and we still have a few more months before the cut-off deadline, but make sure you enter before it’s too late!”

Products will be cooked and judged at The Regional Food Academy at Harper Adams University.

That final deadline is 10th March. Manufacturers, processors and retailers, as well as catering butchers and foodservice can enter their products into categories ranging from Britain’s Best Sausage and Britain’s Best Burger to Britain’s Best Lamb Product and Best Free-From Meat Product.

Other product categories in which to enter are: Britain’s Best Meat Pie, Britain’s Best Beef Product, Britain’s Best Pork Product, Best Red Meat Product and Best Poultry Product and new for this year, Best Bacon Product.

As well as the ten product categories, Meat Management readers can make their views count by voting in the following categories: The Catering Butcher Award, Manufacturer of the Year, Best Equipment/Machinery Supplier, Best Trade Organisation, Best Online Business, Multiple Meat Retailer of the Year, Britain’s Best Butcher’s Shops, Training Scheme of the Year, Young Manager of the Year and the Excellence Award.

All the winners will be announced at the Awards dinner at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 28th June.
