Meat products under scrutiny at FMT Food Industry Awards judging

The Food Management Today Industry Food Industry Awards product judging is now underway at Harper Adams Regional Food Academy in Shropshire.

Product judging off to a flying start for the FMT Food Industry Awards 2020.

Event organiser Emma Cash said: “Amongst the product categories is of course meat and this year has once again seen it well supported by some of the sector’s leading businesses.”

Celebrated TV chef, restaurateur and food enthusiast Michel Roux Jr. is to host the FMT Food Industry Awards presentation lunch on 12th March 2020 at the five star Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London.

The meat industry was invited to submit products into multiple categories, including: Best Red Meat Product, Best Poultry Product, Best Frozen Product, New Product Development and Best Free From Product.

Head judge Keith Fisher, CEO of the Institute of Meat, said: “Last year there were a wide variety of products coming through, all to a high standard, so we are looking forward to what this year’s entries bring.

“Awards like the FMT Food Industry Awards are a real insight into the variety, innovation and high quality products that continue to emerge from the meat sector in particular. We are all set for a good day.”

Cash added: “There is a real buzz about Michel Roux hosting the Awards ceremony and our final winners will get amazing pictures and PR.”
