The winner of the Supreme UK Sausage Champion award is selected from one of the winners of the eight competition categories.
Winners and finalists of the UKSW competition have previously reported “significant increases” in sausage sales, with the week normally attracting national and local media interest.
Joanna Thomson, editor of Meat Management magazine, who organise UKSW, said: “We all know how important the sausage market is to the UK meat trade and now, more than ever, getting involved could not be more important.”
Publisher of Meat Management magazine, Graham Yandell MBE, added: “It is a pleasure to bring back UK Sausage Week for its first staging since prior to the Covid pandemic. I am always impressed by the quality of entries, and this year has seen hundreds of brilliant bangers tasted by our judging panel.
“I recommend that anyone wishing to attend the awards luncheon should book their place now, as availability is limited. UK Sausage Week is an important part of meat industry activities and we are looking forward to the awards luncheon to start a week of sausage celebration.”
