Faccenda Foods has confirmed that it is building a new despatch hub in Brackley on the same business park as one of its major poultry processing plants.
The development, which will be built over the next 12 months, will create an advanced 30,000 sq ft storage and distribution facility.
Faccenda Foods managing director, Andy Dawkins commented: “In 2012 we made an £8m investment in the modernisation of our Brackley production facilities, this further investment of £5m demonstrates our commitment to continue to develop and improve our poultry operations centred here in Brackley, Northamptonshire."
Operations director, Philip Davidson said: “Our focus with this development is to ensure our operations at Brackley are fit for the future, allowing us to take a major step forward in operational efficiency and employee working conditions, while reducing our environmental impact. This significant investment is good for our customers and great news for the local community.”
The development at Brackley follows the construction of a new 100,000 sq ft portioning facility at Telford, Shropshire, which will be fully operational in early 2015.
