With less than a month until the big day, organisers of the Meat Management Industry Awards say the ceremony and dinner is shaping up to be the best yet.

A packed 2017 Meat Management Industry Awards

The final flourishes are now being put in place for the event set to take place on 24th May at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The big news is that, for the first time, the awards will feature an after party with live music from top band The Talent. Guests will also be entertained during the ceremony by magician and illusionist Ben Hanlin who is co-hosting the event.

The icing on the cake for this year’s proceedings is that organisers YPL Exhibitions and Events have unveiled new look trophies commissioned especially for the occasion.

Organiser Emma Cash says: “Our 2018 celebration features two big changes. As from this year we have brand new trophies which we believe will further enhance the prestige of winning, and we are also organising an After Awards Party which many people have been asking for.“For the first time we have a live band and dancing to follow the dinner and ceremony, so everyone can continue celebrating to the early hours at the biggest annual event of its kind for the industry. I’m pleased to say that the feedback to these changes has been very positive, so I am sure we can look forward to a special and memorable evening on May 24th at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.”

Commenting on the choice of Ben Hanlin as co-host, publisher of Meat Management magazine Graham Yandell commented: “We have worked with Ben before at other events we stage and he has been hugely popular with guests. I can promise our participants a really magical and fun experience at the MM Meat Industry Awards and I hope to see many friends on the night.”
