Charlotte’s Poultry, which featured on BBC 2’s Hairy Bikers Chicken & Egg, has announced it has put its 1.5 acres of land up for sale.

Charlotte’s Poultry is up for sale.

Trading since 2013, the family run business has a large base of customers throughout the UK.

Charlotte’s Poultry breeds and supplies over 30 varieties of poultry to farms, businesses and private clients.

The offering of sale is said to have come about after an underestimation for the demand of the business, and the operation has now become a size that is said to suit a team of people rather than a single hands-on owner.

Set on 1.5 acres of land, the site is based in a rural location, and has the potential to expand.

The site also includes a breeding shed, a range of outdoor coops and hutches, a brick storage shed and another brick shed used as a gift shop.

In 2016 Charlotte's Poultry was chosen as the location for an episode of the BBC television series Hairy Bikers Chicken & Egg that aired in autumn of that year.

Courtney Cummings, marketing facilitator at Blacks Business Brokers, commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity for either somebody already experienced in the sector or a first time buyer to purchase this well-established poultry business.

“Charlotte’s Poultry has gained itself a fantastic reputation and therefore provides solid trading foundations for any new owner.”

The current lease is a rolling monthly lease – which runs at a cost of £27 per week which includes all utilities.
