The opportunities for red meat exports to the North Americas will be explored in the second of AHDB’s export webinars next week.
Dana Dickerson, North America head of Food and Drink at the Department for International Trade, will provide a high-level overview of both the US and Canada – two key markets for the UK’s red meat export ambitions.
She will talk about the current market conditions, trading opportunities and how exporters in the UK can export red meat successfully.
Also, in the webinar – ‘View from North America’ – which takes place on July 2nd, AHDB’s international market development director, Dr Phil Hadley, will highlight the ongoing work of AHDB to maximise on new and emerging markets.
The webinar will also feature AHDB’s senior export manager for the Americas, Susana Morris, who will give a presentation on the programme of activity underway to boost opportunities for red meat exporters in the UK – especially in light of the challenges of Covid-19.
Dr Hadley said: “The North Americas represents a potential growth market for our red meat exporters and work is ongoing to develop new opportunities for both our existing exports and new market access.
“This, our second webinar, promises to be incredibly insightful and vital for any producers looking to export their products beyond the EU. Our first webinar, which looked primarily at the Asian marketplace, proved very popular and we hope to replicate that success in our second webinar.”
AHDB has produced a podcast on the US market, which can be accessed here
