In the company of renowned broadcaster and author Gyles Brandreth, the 2016 Meat Management Industry Awards ceremony brought the very top names of the UK meat industry together on Friday 20th May to celebrate excellence and reward the best, as voted for by readers of Meat Management magazine and judged by industry experts.

Winners included Marks & Spencer, which received the Supermarket/Multiple Meat Retailer of the Year Award and Aubrey Allen, which scooped the Britain’s Best Butcher’s Shop accolade. The prestigious Excellence Award went to Graham Baker of Butcher’s Petcare. This award is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the UK meat industry.

A special one off Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Keith Fisher, who has dedicated his 40 year career to the UK meat sector.

Around 400 guests attended the prestigious black-tie Awards Dinner at the five star Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, London, to network and celebrate with the winning companies, products and organisations.

A total of 20 awards were made at the dinner, with Gyles Brandreth hosting the event and presenting the winners with their certificates and trophies.
