Union members at the Pilgrim’s Europe Enniskillen site have voted “overwhelmingly” to accept an improved pay offer and end a pay dispute.

Unite the Union involved confirmed that workers had taken six weeks of strike action in pursuit of improved pay.

The deal will see all shop floor workers receive a 4% pay increase and will mean all they are also fully paid for breaks, ending a two-tier arrangement where some shifts were fully compensated and others not.

At the Enniskillen site, a variety of products are produced for brands such as Fridge Raiders, Richmond, Denny and Mr Brain.

Unite general secretary Sharon Graham commented: “This is a clear win for our Pilgrims’ members. This deal was achieved through workers being prepared to take strike action.”

The union also said that talks for 2027 pay negotiations would be due to start at the end of 2026.

Pilgrim’s Europe confirms funding reallocated to reflect worker priorities

A spokesperson for Pilgrim’s Europe said: “We are pleased to welcome colleagues back to work following the resolution of this dispute. Agreement was reached on a revised pay offer in keeping with our planned pay proposals, with funding reallocated to reflect the priorities raised during negotiations.

“We thank everyone who helped maintain operations and support new product launches throughout this period. Our focus now is on bringing teams back together, supporting colleagues and moving forward positively, while continuing to protect the long-term sustainability of our Enniskillen site and the jobs it supports.”
