Readers can follow these pages using the handle @WIMIAwards on Twitter and by simply searching ‘Women in Meat Industry Awards’ on LinkedIn.

The pages will also be at the centre of the action during the live ceremony, which will take place on the 2nd December 2020 at 4:30pm. Readers can find out more, including a full breakdown of the finalists across all nine categories, by visiting womeninmeatawards.com/finalists/.

“After the ceremony, we hope these platforms can continue to act as a hub in recognising and highlighting the important and valuable work that women do within our industry.”

Publisher of Meat Management magazine, which organises the annual Women in Meat Industry Awards initiative, Graham Yandell, said: “These new social media platforms have been a while coming, but in the face of extraordinary circumstances this year, we feel now is the best time to shout even louder about the amazing contribution women make to this great industry.

“As the ceremony will take place online for the first time ever on December 2nd, these pages will be the perfect place to see live reaction from winners, as well as well-wishes and congratulations from everyone involved in the industry. Of course, in addition, there will still be the usual social media output from Meat Management which has a large and established following.

“After the ceremony, we hope these platforms can continue to act as a hub in recognising and highlighting the important and valuable work that women do within our industry. I urge everyone to take the time to follow these pages and to support this initiative and the fantastic women it represents.”
