Following an online broadcast in 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Women In Meat Industry Awards will return to its usual format as an in-person event next week, culminating in a black-tie dinner and ceremony including an after party at the Hilton London Metropole.
Final preparations are now underway ahead of the unique annual awards on Thursday 18th November, when the best of the UK meat industry will come together to celebrate the extensive contribution women make to the sector.
With over 7,000 votes received this year for the Women In Meat Industry Awards finalists, anticipation is building ahead of the popular awards ceremony.
The eventual winners will be revealed from the 45 finalists covering 10 categories, including the overall Meat Businesswoman of the Year 2021.
Olympic medallist, broadcaster and sports personality Katharine Merry will host the 2021 Women In Meat Industry Awards dinner and ceremony, having presented the event online in 2020. She said: “I am really delighted to participate again in 2021 and I look forward to meeting real people at a live ceremony which I know is going to be amazing.”
