Nominations open for prestigious food industry awards
The FMT Food Industry Awards for 2022 has officially opened its product nominations process, offering companies throughout the meat and food industry the chance to submit their products for judging.
Every year, the FMT Food Industry Awards recognise the achievements of food processors and manufacturers across the UK food sector. Ingredients suppliers, machinery and equipment companies, trade organisations, packaging manufacturers, product innovations and training schemes are all honoured as part of the evening’s festivities.
Next year, the awards ceremony will be hosted at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, on 25th May 2022.
Meat processors and retailers from the meat sector can nominate products for these categories:
- Best Red Meat Product
- Best Poultry Product
- Best Frozen Product
- Best Free From Product
- Best New Product Development
- Most Innovative Packaging Development
The products will be judged at Harper Adams University test kitchens and this is scheduled to take place early February.
Voting is also open for a number of other categories, including the Food Industry Champion Award, Best Machinery / Equipment Supplier, Best Trade Organisation, Best Training Initiative and Food Manufacturer of the Year.
