Product nominations now open for MM Meat Industry Awards

The process of finding the very best products, companies, trade bodies and people within the UK meat industry has begun via the meat industry’s biggest and most prestigious annual awards initiative. Product nominations can be made by clicking here.

The Meat Management Meat Industry Awards is the biggest annual celebration of the ‘best of the best’ and will recognise excellence right across the UK industry.

Organisers report a high volume of entries already and are anticipating another record year of product nominations, with over one thousand entries expected. In addition, voting for various categories is also open and voting can be accessed here.

Keith Fisher, chief executive of the Institute of Meat (IoM) and head judge of the Meat Management Industry Awards product evaluations, said: “We are once again looking forward to judging a diverse range of products to the find the very best that the UK meat industry has to offer. It’s always an exciting time as we anticipate a flood of entries from right across the trade.”

The prestigious initiative also features the Meat Management Excellence Award that will be presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry and this category can also be voted for on the website pages.

  • Training Scheme of the Year
  • Young Manager of the Year
  • The Meat Management Excellence Award

Details in regard to the 2021 awards ceremony have yet to be announced, however, organiser Sharon Yandell has confirmed that the current plan is to revert back to a physical event this year, having moved the ceremony online in 2020 following the impact of Covid-19.
