The Black Farmer unveils royal wedding sausage
The Black Farmer is adding a new special edition sausage to its range, in celebration of the upcoming royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The celebration sausage is part of the Black Farmer’s Daughter sub-brand. The packaging features founder Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones’s mixed-race daughter, Scarlett, and pays tribute to the mixed race wedding, which he described as a “momentous occasion for the black communities in the UK”.
Launching in April to coincide with the marriage, which will take place on 19th May, the product will be what Emmanuel-Jones describes as a “moreish pork sausage with a sweet kiss”.
The Black Farmer founder commented: “The marriage between Harry and Meghan is a momentous occasion for the black communities in the UK.
“For many black people, the wedding signifies that colour is now part of the mainstream rather than being on the sidelines.”
The new product also marks the roll-out of a new Black Farmer range that will be celebrating Britain’s diversity, known as the Taste of History range.
