Trade visit to Thailand a win for British poultry
The British poultry industry has welcomed International Trade Secretary Liam Fox’s visit to Thailand as it is believed it will help boost the export of UK poultry genetics.
The visit is also expected to help spur growth in the sector and bolster our competitiveness at home and abroad.
The UK is one of the largest exporters of high value genetic breeding stock and, in 2017, British poultry producers exported hatching eggs and day-old chicks worth £143 million.
