Women In Meat Awards confirm over 100 shortlisted for 2022 voting
The annual Women In Meat Industry Awards is gathering pace as organisers report another outstanding response to the launch of this year’s initiative.
The process of finding 11 category winners and then the overall Meat Businesswoman of the Year falls into various stages.
The industry is initially invited to nominate outstanding candidates for the shortlist and this year there has been a record response. The shortlisted candidates are then publicised for online voting, and a maximum of the top six with the most votes in each category go through as finalists.
When all finalists and category winners are known at the end of the voting period, the overall winner of Meat Businesswoman of the Year will be selected by a panel of judges from the category winners.
All the results will be exclusively announced at a sparkling 5-star ceremony at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington on Friday evening 11th November.
Lead organiser of the Awards, Sharon Yandell commented: “We go live for the voting very shortly and the field of candidates on our shortlist is outstanding again this year.
“We are then looking forward to a sell-out evening ceremony and this is a very special occasion which rewards outstanding female talent. A unique industry night not to be missed.”

- Meat Businesswoman Award – Independent Retailing
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Multiple Retailing
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Manufacturing / Processing
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Craft Butchery
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Trade Body
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Wholesaling
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Poultry
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Training & Education
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Industry Supplier
- The Rising Star Award
