Product entries for the 2016 Meat Management Industry Awards are on course to surpass last year’s record-breaking number and hit the 1000 mark, but there is still time to enter if you’ve not already done so; in fact it’s never been simpler online.

The final deadline is 26th February. Manufacturers, retail and catering butchers as well as foodservice can enter their products into nine of our 19 categories, including, new for this year, the Best Free-From Product category.

Other product categories in which to enter are: Britain’s Best Sausage, Britain’s Best Burger, Britain’s Best Meat Pie, Britain’s Best Lamb Product, Britain’s Best Beef Product, Britain’s Best Pork Product, Best Red Meat Product and Best Poultry Product.

Products will then be cooked, tested, tasted and judged by industry experts over three days at The Regional Food Academy at Harper Adams University.

Awards organiser Emma Cash said: “Already we are up on product entries compared to this time last year and we are confident we are going to smash the 1000 mark. It’s so simple to enter online and we are keen to ensure all supermarkets, manufacturers, retailers and processors don’t miss out. So get entering before it’s too late!”

The winner will be announced at Britain’s biggest meat industry awards event at The London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane on 20th May.
