Increasing the global demand for beef and lamb will be the focus of this year’s AHDB Beef and Lamb conference taking place at Stoneleigh Park on 3rd November.
Other subjects due to be covered include the outlook for domestically-produced beef and lamb, the future for US/EU trade for beef and lamb, the role of livestock in the environment and an update on AHDB Beef and Lamb stakeholder activity.
It will also feature a review of New Zealand sheep supply by Beef and Lamb New Zealand’s regional manager for Europe, Dave Harrison, and a presentation on food and health by University College Dublin’s Professor Patrick Wall.
Dr Phil Hadley, AHDB Beef and Lamb head of global supply chain development, said: “While our domestic market remains our priority, export markets present huge opportunities for our products, not least those for which there is limited demand in the UK.
“Our annual conference is the ideal forum to highlight these opportunities to industry stakeholders.”
