Organised by The Confederation of Yorkshire Butchers Councils (CYBC), the 27th annual contest formed part of the inaugural Craft Bakers and Butchers Extravaganza, staged at the Yorkshire Event Centre, Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate.

Sheffield pork butcher Konrad Kempka, this year’s CYBC president, said: “The standard of entries has been higher than ever this year and judging was really tough, with many classes close fought. I am confident the Great Yorkshire remains the best regional meat trade competition in the whole country.”
