Butchers have until the Saturday 22nd October to submit their postal entries for the 2016 Great Yorkshire Pork Pie, Sausage & Products Competition, which takes place on 30th October at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford.
The 28th annual Great Yorkshire Competition will feature pork pie, sausage, black pudding and beef burger classes, which are open to all UK independent retail butchers, farms shops and bakers who make products on their own premises.
The competition, organised by the Confederation of Yorkshire Butchers Councils (CYBC), will also include a New Kid on the Block class, which is open to Yorkshire entrants only and has been designed to encourage new talent to enter.
Participants are told to note that whilst entries are accepted until the morning of the contest, these attract an additional administration charge.
