Showcasing skills

The programme for the day featured a mix of activities designed to display both traditional skills and forward-thinking modern approaches. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with hands-on demonstrations, hear from expert speakers and connect with peers from across the meat sector. Highlights included:

  • Burger making and butchery showcases.
  • Knife sharpening and traditional meat tying demonstrations.
  • A guided farm tour.
  • A session on farm sustainability.

Reflecting the energy, expertise and enthusiasm of the professional community, the event marked a “significant step forward” for the IoM in fostering stronger connections and a shared commitment to excellence and innovation in the meat industry.
