Planning for the meat industry’s big awards night organised by Meat Management magazine is well underway and, as usual, organisers expect a sell-out event on 27th June, when the Meat Management Industry Awards take place in Birmingham.
Up to 500 guests are expected to attend the black tie dinner and awards ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, when the industry will celebrate excellence right across the sector. Twenty awards will be presented including The Young Manager of the Year, Best Multiple Retailer, Best Butchers Shop and the coveted Excellence Award, which will be presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry.
The awards involves a variety of partners who support various categories and is widely acknowledged as the leading event of its kind serving the UK meat industry.
On winning the Award for Supermarket / Multiple Retailer of the Year in 2018, Gary Brooking of Marks & Spencer said: “Marks & Spencer is delighted to have been voted winner by readers of Meat Management,” whilst Clive Taylor, director of business at Moy Park enthused: “Moy Park is delighted to be recognised with this top award for the Ocado Gold Corn Fed Free Range Chicken.”

This is a great achievement.” Whilst Mark Eastwood of ABP Yetminster was equally upbeat commenting: “We are absolutely delighted to receive the recognition and standard this award provides,” when winning the Best Lamb Product award.
Emma Cash, the MM awards organiser added: “This event is the highlight of the meat industry calendar.
