Multiple retailer Morrisons has cut the price of 800 of its items – including fresh meat products – by an average of 19%.
The price drop includes Morrisons British Turkey Thigh Mince (500g) falling from £2.34 to £2.00 and Morrisons British Beef Meatball (12pk), which has been cut from £2.00 to £1.77.
Other items to see their price fall are Morrisons Ready to Eat Avocados (2pk), Morrisons King Edward Potatoes (2.5kg) and Morrisons Cod Fish Fingers (15pk).
Andy Atkinson, Morrisons marketing and customer director, commented: “Many customers are feeling the pinch after Christmas so we are cutting prices, particularly on fresh food and everyday essentials.
“These price cuts will help families who are on a tighter budget and will continue to make Morrisons more competitive.”
The new price cuts follows on from the company’s decision to reduce the price of nearly 130 cooked meat, fresh meat and poultry products by an average of 12% in September 2016.
