Irish bacon producer, Oakpark Foods will launch three of its products in 150 UK Morrisons stores from 20th June.
Morrisons will sell Oakpark 50% Less Fat Medallions (both Naturally Smoked and Unsmoked varieties) and Oakpark American Style Streaky Bacon.
Both the smoked and unsmoked medallions will be new to the UK market. They will be sold in 170g packs of six slices, retailing at £2 each or any two for £3. This will be an ongoing promotion.
The American Style Streaky Bacon, which is currently stocked in Aldi UK stores as a special buy, is sold in a 16 slice, 170g pack, also retailing at £2 each or any two for £3, also as an ongoing promotion.
David Brett, general manager of Oakpark, said: “Launching the Oakpark brand in Morrisons stores is a massive boost towards our target of becoming the number one seller of bacon medallions in the UK.”
Oakpark hopes that following the launch the products will subsequently be rolled out to over 500 Morrisons stores within the next three months.
The bacon producer currently supplies to Aldi, Lidl, Dunnes, Tesco, Musgraves, The Barry Group and BWG, in Ireland. In the UK it supplies Farmfoods, Aldi and Lidl, as well as regional retailers across the country.
