Preparations for Meatup – the only exhibition dedicated to the UK meat industry – are gathering pace and those considering a visit are advised to register their attendance now.

The new look Meatup exhibition will take place at ArenaMK in Milton Keynes on 24th and 25th May 2017.

The trade exhibition is now firmly established as an important networking event in the meat industry calendar. The 2017 show will provide a top class forum where suppliers and buyers will get together face-to-face and do good business.

The show will feature a wide range of exhibitors and top craft competitions, along with seminars from leading speakers covering important subjects of key interest to the trade.

Meatup will take place at ArenaMK in Milton Keynes on 24th and 25th May.

Visitors will get to enjoy a jam-packed seminar theatre line-up, with appearances from industry experts including Dr Phil Hadley, the head of global supply chain development at AHDB Beef & Lamb, and Gavan Wafer, head of crime operations at the National Food Crime Unit (NFCU).

Legal eagle and Meat Management columnist Jamie Foster is another speaker to feature in the seminar line-up and give his view on the legal matters and issues facing the industry.

AIMS head of policy, Norman Bagley, will also be speaking at Meatup. Brexit – latest implications for the meat trade and industry relations with FSA will be a talk looking at how Brexit is affecting the industry and its future.

Visitors to Meatup can also watch the Premier Young Butcher Competition hosted by the National Federation of Meat & Food Traders (NFMFT). It will take place on Thursday 25th May.

Meatup features top craft competitions, as well as a wide range of exhibitors and seminars.

The competition is open to all 18 to 23 year old butchery apprentices throughout the UK, and finalists will compete in producing and displaying innovative Ready to Eat, Stuffed Roast, Seam Butchery, Barbecue and Kitchen Ready products for the title of Premier Young Butcher 2017.
