Sausage makers have started off UK Sausage Week in style! Here’s a quick roundup of some of the sizzling ideas the trade has come up with.
UK Sausage Week 2024 runs from Monday 28th October to Sunday 3rd November. Retailers, butchers and manufacturers supporting the initiative, launched at Butchers’ Hall, are coming up with some innovative and interesting ideas to promote the best of UK bangers!
Banging meal inspiration
Beach Rock Bistro in Norfolk is selling a Tandoori Naan Dog with Mango Mayonnaise, which was specially created just for UK Sausage Week by Hodson & Co Private Dining and Archers Butchers. Each Naan Dog will see £1 donated to Hospitality Action!
Meanwhite County Foods in Dorset has encouraged customers to get stuck in with a Halloween themed Sausage Mummies recipe.
At Yandell Publishing (which produces Meat Management) Harry Rogers tried his hand at a very well-done toad in the hole.
Over in the East The Sleaford Sausage Shop has created a Lincolnshire Foot Long, which it said is “Ideal for Halloween and Bonfire night parties”.

Cedarbarn Butchers are celebrating with what it calls a special ‘spooky’ twist.
For those customers who love a competition, Combe Martin Farm Shop in Ilfracombe says it will give away a Lucky Dip Bag of Flavoured Sausages worth £20 to the 100th ‘favourite sausage flavour’ comment on its Facebook page.
Up in Scotland, Campbells Prime Meat in Linlithgow is offering its customers up to 45% off sausages - what it’s calling a banging deal!
