Organisers of the 2024 FMT Food Industry Awards have reported that product judging was an overwhelming success, as the process concludes ahead of the awards luncheon and ceremony scheduled for June 27th.
The annual FMT Food Industry Awards recognises the best of the food manufacturing and retailing industries, and includes meat and poultry categories for product entry, as well as various key industry sectors, including dairy, fish and baking.
Judging for the 2024 awards programme took place over three days at the test kitchens in Milton Keynes, with Institute of Meat chief executive Keith Fisher heading up the judging panel. Products were measured on taste, smell, feel, look and packaging, with a strict judging criteria followed before final ranking and scoring.
“The quality of this year’s entries was truly exceptional," said Fisher. "The past days have proved that the food industry understands the importance of ongoing development, quality and innovation, as we continue to be impressed year after year.”
The 2024 business luncheon and awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 27th June 2024 at the 5-star Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London, where celebrity host and world renowned chef Michel Roux Jr will reveal the winners of each category.
