Voting for the 2026 Women In Meat Industry Awards has now opened following the release of this year’s shortlist.
Readers of Meat Management magazine plus the wider industry can now cast their votes online to decide which nominees from the shortlist will move up to become a finalist.
The nominees for this year’s awards operate across a range of sectors within the meat industry, and will have been shortlisted in the relevant categories. With voting now open, colleagues will be able to vote for their 2026 choice or choices by visiting the Women In Meat Industry Awards website. To see the shortlist, click here.
The categories for 2026 are as follows:
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Foodservice (catering)
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Multiple Retailing
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Manufacturing/Processing
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Craft Butchery
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Poultry
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Trade Body
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Livestock Procurement & Sustainability
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Wholesaling
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Independent Retailing
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Industry Supplier
- Meat Businesswoman Award – Training & Education
- The Rising Star Award
The prestigious Meat Businesswoman of the Year Award will be chosen from the other categories listed above, with the exception of the Rising Star Award.
Following the final voting deadline, the 2026 finalists will be confirmed and published on the WIMIA website, ahead of the awards ceremony taking place on Friday 20th November. This ever-popular event is held at the 5-star Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, with VIP host and Olympic Gold Medallist Sally Gunnell set to present the winners with their awards.
