Event organiser Libby Goodwin commented: “Finalists and winners are based on voting numbers, some of the larger industry sectors will inevitably have more finalists to reflect voting volumes and the size of the particular industry sector, and also where some candidates have tied for votes. However, the overall vote was once again very substantial, and we have some brilliant finalists.”

Gwen Mostyn, editor of Meat Management magazine, which organises and stages the annual awards, added: “As usual, the response to the Women In Meat Industry Awards has been amazing. These unique annual Awards continue to engage many thousands of participants and the ceremony, including dinner and afterparty, will be another very enjoyable and important occasion. It is a special event each year when we recognise great people.”

Graham Yandell MBE, the publisher of Meat Management magazine, said: “We are really looking forward to this year’s ceremony and dinner on 21st November. The event also offers a timely opportunity to stay over in London for those who want to do so, and perhaps enjoy the Christmas festivities and shopping running up to the holiday season. The dinner and ceremony will highlight many amazing people from right across the meat industry and we are very proud to stage it.”

Impressionist and comedian Rory Bremner will host the evening together with actor, broadcaster and writer Julie Peasgood.
