AHDB Beef & Lamb has appointed two new members to its board, following the retirement of members Richard Phelps and Ed Green.
Laurie Ibbotson and Robert Venner will join the board, with each having previously gained experience in relevant fields. Ibbotson is the commercial director at Waitrose beef processors Dovecote Park Ltd and is equipped with very practical knowledge of cattle production, while Venner is a partner with the firm of Auctioneers Greenslade Taylor Hunt, as well as partner in charge of Sedgemoor Auction Centre. He is also a member of the Livestock Auctioneers Association and the current chair of Meat South West.
AHDB Beef & Lamb strategy director Laura Ryan noted: “I would like to thank retiring members Richard Phelps and Ed Green and welcome both Laurie and Robert to the board. They both have a great deal of experience which will be of benefit to the organisation and to levy partners.”
