Multivac UK, providers of packaging solutions to the meat industry, has moved into its newly refurbished premises following an investment of over £2 million into its modernisation programme.
The building, which will be officially inaugurated in March, now includes a dedicated practical training area and a new classroom, with audio-video technology, for customer training.
Multivac UK significantly invested into improving its existing training area, and has expanded the training facilities to cover 2,000 square metres.
In addition to the new training facilities, the refurbishment also includes a new temperature-controlled Product Development Centre.
Designed in-house alongside Demeva, a chilled food factory specialist, the temperature controlled 40 square metres area features a separate changing room and full hygiene facilities to enable process and packaging trials.
“With these facilities we can now offer our customers additional options for carrying out packaging tests,” John Lakin, managing director of Multivac UK, said. “The installation of the demo room will completely change the type of trials we can now carry out. Multivac can now provide an area suitable for shelf life trials and edible sample manufacture, cutting new product development times drastically for processors and retailers alike.”
The building also includes a showroom area with increased demonstration space, as well as improvements to the reception, offices and canteen area to accommodate the growing number of employees.
