The celebration dinner saw a wealth of female talent and, on the night, ten categories were recognised including the Meat Businesswoman of the Year Award, which this year went to Lucianne Allen of Aubrey Allen. Almost seven thousand votes were received in the process of selecting the category winners.Meat Business Woman of the Year, Lucianne said: “Having changed my career 11 years ago, I feel that winning the award means that I am accepted as part of this great industry and it means the world to me. I could not achieve all I do without my fantastic team at work and at home. I am passionate about women in business and especially the meat world; it's great to be a part of it. Thank you to everyone.”Broadcaster and radio presenter, Katie Derham, who presented the winners with their awards said: “When people have worked so hard it is so important to give them the recognition they deserve.”Publisher of Meat Management magazine, Graham Yandell commented: “This year’s film, which only takes a few minutes to view, really does capture the fantastic atmosphere that was generated on the evening, and I hope as many people as possible will take a look.
