Nominations to enter products for the 2025 UK Sausage Week competition are still open, with all types of sausage manufacturers and retailers from across the industry encouraged to put their products forward now. Entry is free of charge.

This year’s Sausage Week, will run from 27th October to 3rd November 2025 and will kick off with an awards lunch on Monday 27th October at Butchers’ Hall, London, when all the winners of this year’s competition will be revealed.

The very latest deadline for product nominations is Friday 1st August 2025, and butchers, retailers, manufacturers and foodservice are invited to enter their products into the competition across multiple categories.

The 2025 UK Sausage Week competition categories are: 

  • Best Traditional Pork Sausage
  • Best Beef Sausage
  • Best Lincolnshire Sausage
  • Best Cumberland Sausage
  • Best Chipolata Sausage
  • Best Gluten Free / Free From Sausage
  • Best Chicken Sausage
  • Best Speciality Sausage
  • Best Cocktail Sausage
  • Best Frozen Sausage
  • UK Sausage Week – UK Supreme Sausage Champion

Once nominations close, actual product delivery will then be required on Tuesday 19th August to the UK Sausage Week test kitchens at Milton Keynes College. All details will be supplied well before delivery day to those who are participating.

UK Supreme Sausage Champion

The 2025 UK Supreme Sausage Champion will be selected from various category winners. In 2024 Porky Whites was crowned the Champion for its Signature Surrey Sausage.

Speaking on the win, Porky Whites managing director Fran Wyatt said: “To win UK Sausage Week’s Supreme Sausage Champion for our Signature Surrey Sausage is incredible.

“This award – as well as winning the Best Pork Sausage title – tops off an amazing year for the business, which has seen us continue to grow and bring exciting new products to customers.”

Past winners of the UKSW competition have reported substantial interest and increased business for their products after the competition results are announced, and retailers who get involved can maximise on the profile UK Sausage Week creates, which normally attracts national and local media coverage, plus significant customer interest.
