Tesco recalls beef product due to unspecified ingredient

Tesco has recently recalled all date codes of its frozen beef Spaghetti Bolognese due to the discovery that it contains egg, which is not on the product label.

This absence of egg being stated on the label could cause possible health risks for individuals who are allergic or intolerant to egg.

Tesco recalls beef product due to egg not being specified on the label.

A notice on the Food Standard Agency website has warned anyone who has bought the product and has an allergy or intolerance to egg, to not eat the product and instead return it to the store, for a full refund.

Tesco will be contacting the appropriate allergy support organisations, which will also then warn members of the recall.

The company is also displaying a point-of-sale notice in its stores which explain to customers why the products have been recalled and alert them of what to do if they have bought the product.

No other Tesco products are known to be affected.
