Mattessons has recalled certain batches of its Roast Chicken Flavour Fridge Raider products as they may contain pieces of plastic.
The recall specifically refers to:
- Mattessons Fridge Raiders Roast Chicken Flavour, 3x25g multipack with all use-by dates between 24th July 2016 and 5th August 2016;
- Mattessons Fridge Raiders Roast Chicken Flavour, 5x25g multipack with all use-by dates between 24th July 2016 and 5th August 2016;
- Mattessons Fridge Raiders Roast Chicken Flavour, 60g single pack with all use-by dates between 4th July 2016 and 4th August 2016;
- Mattessons Fridge Raiders Roast Chicken Flavour, £1.39 single packs with all use-by dates between 5th July 2016 and 26th July 2016;
- Mattessons Fridge Raiders Roast Chicken Flavour, 50g single packs with all use-by dates between 5th July 2016 and 26th July 2016;
- Mattessons Fridge Raiders Roast Chicken Flavour Meal Deal, 50g single packs with all use-by dates between 5th July 2016 and 26th July 2016;
- Mattessons Fridge Raiders Roast Chicken Flavour Big Eat, 100g packs with all use-by dates between 5th July 2016 and 26th July 2016.
The company has displayed point-of-sale notices in stores selling the products. The company’s sales team is also engaging customers directly to alert them to the recall.
In its statement Mattessons said: “Mattessons takes the precautionary step of recalling some of its Roast Chicken Flavour Fridge Raider products due to possibility of product contamination. We are asking all customers who have brought the [affected] products not to consume them. Please contact Mattessons for a full refund.
“We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused to our customers.”
No other Mattessons products are known to be affected by this recall.
