The entry deadline to nominate products for this year’s UK Sausage Week (UKSW) competition has been extended by one week to Friday 14th August to deal with substantial last-minute demand.

Organisers have confirmed that once again there has been an excellent response to the annual competition and confidently predict that entries will exceed the 2025 entry figure.
Those participating can enter as many products as they wish across different categories. Entry is free.
Sausage competition categories:
- Best Traditional Pork Sausage
- Best Beef Sausage
- Best Lincolnshire Sausage
- Best Cumberland Sausage
- Best Chipolata Sausage
- Best Gluten Free/Free From Sausage
- Best Chicken Sausage
- Best Speciality Sausage
- Best Cocktail Sausage
- Best Frozen Sausage
Once nominations close on 14th August, actual product delivery will then be required on Tuesday 18th August to the UK Sausage Week test kitchens at Harper Adams University. All details will be supplied before delivery day to those who are participating.
The 2026 UK Supreme Sausage Champion will be selected from the various category winners.
Event organiser Jenny Bullock commented: “We are extending the deadline to accommodate a lot of last minute enquiries about entering products so we can help everyone who wants to participate.
“Judges and our home economists are looking forward to several days of tasting and testing. All entries are to be supplied raw and we cook and judge everything fresh.
“Butchers, retailers, manufacturers and foodservice across the industry have been nominating their products in substantial volume and the winners will be exclusively revealed at the UK Sausage Week awards lunch on Monday 26th October at Butchers’ Hall in London, including the overall UK Supreme Sausage Champion.”
UK Sausage Week will run from 26th October to 2nd November 2026.
