Rumours suggest merger between Dunbia and 2 Sisters has stalled
Reports are currently circulating in the press that a possible merger between meat processors Dunbia and 2 Sisters Food Group has stalled.
Dunbia has been up for sale since December 2015.
It was reported earlier this year that Northern Irish beef, lamb and pork processing firm, Dunbia, which has been up for sale since December 2015, could be merging with 2 Sisters.
An article in the Belfast Telegraph on 16th August, however, has suggested that the deal could now have collapsed.
When asked to comment on the speculation a Dunbia spokesperson said: “We have no comment to make at this time.”
A 2 Sisters Food Group spokesperson also commented: “We can’t comment on market rumours or speculation.”
