2 Sisters creates more than 200 new jobs
Up to 200 new jobs will be created at 2 Sisters Food Group’s Carlisle site – Cavaghan and Gray – securing the long-term future of the site.
2 Sisters has announced a £7m capital investment at its Carlisle prepared meals factory, creating more than 200 new jobs for the region as a result of the new business win.
Roles will be available in operational, technical and supply chain.

The investment programme follows a major contract awarded by Marks & Spencer to expand its product ranges with 2 Sisters.
More than 30 new products will be developed at the site, and dishes to come later in the year include Gastro Ham & Chicken Crumble and Gastro Beef Bourguignon.
A new vegetable processing facility is also being created, which includes new cooling tunnels, steam-injected kettles for cooking and cooling sauces, new coating systems and two new automated packing lines.
