The conference, organised by AHDB’s beef, lamb and pork divisions (EBLEX and BPEX), will cover the latest Food Standards Agency (FSA) projects for improving food chain information (FCI), the collection and communication of inspection results (CCIR) and reporting systems.

The event will also present an opportunity to discuss the EU draft legislation for FCI for pigs.

AHDB/EBLEX business development manager Christine Walsh said: “Our aim is to continue helping the meat industry and the FSA to support improvements to food safety, animal health and welfare and productivity.

“This is a timely opportunity for the meat processing sector to get involved to discuss and influence the type of information to be captured and how it can be best transferred up and down the meat supply chain. Abattoir technical managers, meat processors and allied industry are all invited to attend.”

To register, contact Cheryl Barker by Tuesday 26th May: cheryl.barker@ahdb.org.uk 0247 647 8893.
