Countdown to Women In Meat Industry Awards ceremony begins

With over 14,000 votes received this year for the Women In Meat Industry Awards, anticipation is building ahead of the popular sell-out Awards ceremony which is scheduled to take place in London on 11th November.

The eventual winners will be revealed from 73 finalists covering 12 categories, including the overall Meat Businesswoman of the Year 2022.

Lead organiser of the event, Sharon Yandell, has confirmed that the ceremony is a sell-out and that the occasion promises to be another very enjoyable and unique evening for the industry, which she described as “this fastest growing industry networking event.”

Sharon also described this year’s voting levels, which exceeded 14,000, as a phenomenon and commented: “The ongoing reaction surpasses anything else we see for our other industry awards. The unique Women In Meat Industry Awards initiative has definitely captured the imagination and the support of many, many people right across the industry – both men and women.”

Awards host

Celebrity chef, author and TV broadcaster Rachel Allen will host this years ceremony at the 5-star Royal Garden Hotel, situated in Kensington, London. Sharon added: “We are absolutely delighted that Rachel can join us. She really is excellent and I know is looking forward to the ceremony. I am certain she will go down well with our guests.

“There is a wealth of talent across our industry and these awards have highlighted that very fact since being launched by Meat Management magazine back in 2018, and they continue to challenge and change conventional thinking about employment and talent in the meat sector.”
