Douglas Willis recalls meat products
Online butcher Douglas Willis has issued a recall on a variety of meat products on a precautionary basis, as they may contain pieces of hard plastic.
Products affected include the CMR Burger, Chuck Burger, 6oz Halal Burger, Venison Burger, Pork Own Thick Sausage, Lamb & Rosemary Sausage, Gourmet Sausage and Gourmet Pork & Leek Sausage.
According to the notice, all of the aforementioned sausages will have a packing date of 20/3/2017 with use-by date of 29/03/2017, while all affected burgers will have a packing date of 20/03/2017 and a use-by date of 26/03/2017.
The Food Standard Agency’s advice to customers is to “not eat” any of the above products, but instead “return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.”
Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stories, which are selling these products, explaining the reasons for the recall and offering advice.
