Food Industry Awards 2024 spotlight meat industry winners

The annual FMT Food Industry Awards has featured presentations to a range of 2024 award-winning meat sector companies and people, with lunchtime guests celebrating the success of the industry in London earlier today [Thursday 27th June].

The winners of the 2024 Food Management Today Food Industry Awards.

The awards highlight both service and quality products from a range of different food production, manufacturing and retailing sectors.

Michelin star chef and TV presenter Michel Roux Jr took to the stage to host this year’s awards at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London.

The title of Best Red Meat Product went to Scotbeef for its M&S Collection Slow Cooked Daube of Beef, with the Best Free From Product going to Dunbia for its ASDA Minted Lamb Kebabs.

The Best New Product Development award also went to a Marks & Spencer product for its Wagyu Rump with Mustard and Bone Marrow Butter produced by ABP Linden Foods, whilst Owen Taylor & Son’s scooped the Best Poultry Product award for its Chicken, Leek & Stilton Pie.

Best Trade Organisation – National Pig Association (NPA)

Best Ingredients Supplier – Prosur

Best Machinery / Equipment Supplier – Interfood Technology

Best Training Initiative – Bakkavor Apprenticeship Programme

Best Free From Product – ASDA Minted Lamb Kebabs – by Dunbia

Best Ready To Eat Product – Waitrose Popcorn Chicken with Hickory BBQ Sauce – by Pilgrim’s Europe

Best New Product Development – Marks & Spencer Wagyu Rump with Mustard and Bone Marrow Butter – by ABP Linden

Best Red Meat Product – M&S Collection Slow Cooked Daube of Beef – by Scotbeef

Best Poultry Product – Chicken, Leek & Stilton Pie – Owen Taylor & Sons

Food Manufacturer of the Year – Moy Park

The prestigious Food Industry Champion of the Year award was presented to CEO of the Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Karen Betts, who was recognised for her consistent and valuable work, and food trade representation, as EU trade issues continued to make headlines affecting the UK industry.
