Guests were welcomed to Butchers’ Hall, London with a drinks reception, before being seated for lunch. Owen Taylor & Sons Ltd provided the sausages for the main course, which were served on a bed of mashed potatoes and accompanied by green beans and broccoli before being finished with a jus. A big hit with lunch guests who certainly know their sausages!

The Master of the Worshipful Company of Butchers (WCB), Gwyn Howells, was the VIP guest of honour and handed out accolades to all the category winners alongside Meat Management publisher Graham Yandell MBE.

UK Sausage Week logo 2025

This year, Wicks Manor took the title of UK Supreme Sausage Champion for its Olde English Pork Sausage, having also won the Best Traditional Pork Sausage category.

Commenting on Wicks Manor’s win, managing director Fergus Howie said: “To win this award is a game changer for us, we are so proud of our products that we make, but to say that we produce the UK Supreme Sausage Champion is incredible, a very powerful statement.

“I am blown away and on cloud nine, it’s so important because it’s a recognition of the care, dedication and hard work that all our team put into every product we make.”
