WCB chips in with another golf day for all

The Worshipful Company of Butchers is once again organising The Meat Industry Invitational Golf Tournament, which is open to anyone working in the meat trade.

The 2024 event will take place on Thursday 11th July at the Essendon Country Club in Hertfordshire, which successfully hosted last year.

Supported by Meat Management magazine, the day will be an opportunity to bring together like-minded people working in the meat trade for an enjoyable game of golf with the added bonus of networking and fellowship.

A round of golf with a three-course meal and prize giving will be included in the price for teams of four. Cost for a team is £500. For businesses, there is also the option of sponsoring a hole and entering a team of four which will be £675.00 per team.

Registration on the day will be from 8:30am where teas/coffees and breakfast rolls will be available for all. That will be followed by a shot gun start at 9.30am playing Stapleford rules.

Prizes will be presented after a three-course meal (included) for nearest the pin and longest drive, the best score of the day and a team prize.

Bookings are not restricted to Liverymen and the Worshipful Company of Butchers is keen to stress that this is an open event for all areas of the meat industry.
