AHDB Pork to host regional forums for pig industry

AHDB Pork has announced that it will be organising a new series of regional forums, which will all be open meetings.Generic pig.

All pig producers and members of the allied industry are encouraged to attend as the forums are a means of listening to the wider industry.

The meetings will enable attendees to provide more direct input into proposed technical activity and feedback on the quality and relevance of AHDB Pork work.

The main objectives include discussing how best to go about improving key performance indicators for closing the physical pig performance gap in the region.

The meetings will also provide the chance to get feedback on AHDB Pork knowledge transfer activity and collect new ideas, as well as achieve better coordination within the regions and work more effectively with other businesses to avoid duplication.

AHDB Pork knowledge exchange lead Steve Winfield said: “These meetings give everybody a chance to have some input into the work of the organisation.

“Everybody is welcome to attend and we are interested in all shades of opinion – nobody has a monopoly on good ideas!”

The forums will be taking place on the following dates:
