Cranswick moves into poultry sector
Cranswick has moved into a new protein sector with the acquisition of Benson Park Limited, a leading premium cooked poultry producer.
Benson supplies customers operating in the ‘food to go’ sector of the retail multi-channel, convenience and food service markets. The cost of the acquisition was not disclosed.
A move into a new protein category was highlighted back in May 2014 by Cranswick as part of its future growth strategy.
The transaction will be funded from existing debt facilities. Cranswick will announce its interim results on Monday 24th November.
