The expansion will primarily provide additional space to store finished goods, but will also house a Bobst Domino high-speed folder gluer to boost manufacturing capabilities and capacity for bespoke printed boxes.

“We currently have the capacity to produce 18 million boxes per year,” John Curran, managing director of Northern Paper Board said. “With our existing staff alone, we have the potential to increase manufacturing capacity by up to 40%, or 25 to 30 million boxes per year when the new building is fully operational.”

Work is scheduled to begin this month, with a summer completion date.
