Liverymen welcomed at Worshipful Company of Butchers luncheon

Liverymen of the Worshipful Compnay of Butchers (WCB) gathered at Painters’ Hall on Thursday 3rd November for the monthly Court and Livery Luncheon.

Key figures from across the meat industry were present at the event and guests of the company included Rory Kemp, master of the Worshipful Company of Poulters and Philip Wynn, master of the Worshipful Company of Farmers.

The lunch menu included Aberdeen Angus Beef Sirloins donated by liveryman Amanda Snowie and freeman James Buitelaar in memory of the late Frans Buitelaar.

Liveryman and Meat Management director Rob Yandell proposed at the lunch, introducing speaker Peter Hancock, chief executive of Pride of Britain Hotels, and welcoming guests.

New liverymen Doron Krips of County Foods Ltd and Steve Derrick of Lucas Ingredients were clothed into the company during the luncheon.

Liverymen are now being encouraged to book their places at WCB’s December events, which include the monthly Court and Livery Luncheon, the Annual Boar’s Head Procession, the Christmas Carvery Luncheon and the Carol Service. For more information visit www.butchershall.com.
