Red Tractor appoints new chief executive
Red Tractor Assurance has appointed its current chairman, Jim Moseley, as chief executive, replacing David Clarke when he retires later this month.

Clarke was the assurance scheme’s first-ever chief executive and has held its reins for 19 years.
Under his leadership, the scheme saw more than 60,000 farm businesses gain membership, while the Red Tractor logo has become one of the key selling points for British primary products.
Clarke said: “In Red Tractor, the UK farming industry has an assurance scheme that it can be really proud of.
“Establishing such a robust scheme, which has to constantly evolve has not been without its challenges, but I am leaving the organisation in great shape for the future.”
Besides his role in Red Tractor, Jim Moseley has also presided over both the Food & Drink Federation and the Provision Trade Federation. His career also includes working with FMC (Meat) Ltd, Tulip, General Mills and Mizkan.
Moseley said: “I am delighted to be leading Red Tractor on the next phase of its development.
“Looking to the future and particularly the uncertainties around Brexit, we must protect and promote British agriculture by ensuring consumers and buyers understand and value the exceptionally high standards, which our farmers and growers deliver.”
